How to overhaul the radiator of diesel generator?

1. The main fault of water radiator is water leakage. The main causes of water leakage are: the blade of the fan is broken or tilted during operation, resulting in the damage of the heat sink; The radiator is not fixed properly, which causes the radiator joint to crack during the operation of the diesel engine; The cooling water contains too much impurities and salt, which makes the pipe wall seriously corroded and damaged, etc.

2. Inspection after the radiator is damaged. In case of water leakage of the radiator, the outside of the radiator shall be cleaned before water leakage inspection. During the inspection, except for leaving a water inlet or outlet, block all the other openings, put the radiator into the water, and then inject about 0.5kg/cm2 compressed air from the water inlet or outlet with an inflation pump or high-pressure air cylinder. If bubbles are found, it indicates that there are cracks or damages.

3. Radiator repair
▶ Before repairing the radiator upper and lower chambers, clean the leaking parts, and then completely remove the metal paint and rust with a metal brush or scraper, and then repair with solder. If there is a large area of water leakage at the fixing screws of the upper and lower water chambers, the upper and lower water chambers can be removed, and then two water chambers with appropriate size can be made again. Before assembly, apply adhesive or sealant on the top and bottom of the sealing gasket, and then fix it with screws.
▶ Repair of radiator water pipe. If the outer water pipe of the radiator is damaged less, it can generally be repaired by tin welding. If the damage is large, the pipe heads on both sides of the damaged pipe can be clamped with pointed nose pliers to prevent water leakage. However, the number of blocked water pipes should not be too much; Otherwise, the heat dissipation effect of the radiator will be affected. If the internal water pipe of the radiator is damaged, the water pipe shall be replaced or welded after the upper and lower water chambers are removed. After assembly, check the radiator for water leakage again.
