Diesel generator sets suddenly stalled in operation, will greatly affect the output efficiency of the unit, seriously delay the production process, bring huge economic losses, so what is the reason for the sudden stagnation of diesel generator sets?
In fact, the reasons for stalling are different depending on the different phenomenons.
- Phenomenon-
When the automatic flameout occurs, the speed gradually decreases, and there is no abnormal phenomenon in the sound of the diesel generator set operation and the color of exhaust smoke.
- Reason -
The main reason is that the diesel fuel inside the tank is used up, perhaps the fuel tank switch opens, or the fuel tank vent, fuel filter, fuel pump is blocked; or the oil circuit is not sealed into the air, resulting in “gas resistance” (with unstable speed phenomenon before the flameout).
- Solution-
This time, check the low pressure fuel line. First, check whether the fuel tank, filter, fuel tank switch, fuel pump is blocked, lack of oil or the switch is not open, etc. You can loosen the air screw on the injection pump, press the fuel pump button, observe the flow of oil at the bleeder screw. If no oil flows out, the oil circuit is blocked; if there are bubbles inside the oil flowing out, air enters inside the oil circuit, and it should be checked and excluded section by section.
- Phenomenon-
Continuous erratic operation and abnormal knocking sound when automatic ignition occurs.
- Reason -
The main reason is that the piston pin is broken, the crankshaft is broken, the connecting rod bolt is broken or loosened, the valve spring, the valve locking piece is off, the valve rod or valve spring is broken, causing the valve to fall off, etc.
- Solution-
Once this phenomenon is found in the diesel generator set during operation, it should be stopped immediately for inspection to avoid major mechanical accidents and sent to professional maintenance points for a comprehensive inspection
- Phenomenon-
There is no abnormality before the automatic ignition, but it suddenly turns off.
- Reason -
The main reason is that the plunger or injector needle valve is jammed, the plunger spring or pressure spring is broken, the injection pump control rod and its connected pin fall off, the injection pump drive shaft and active disc after the fixed bolt is loosened, the key on the shaft is flat due to loosening, resulting in the drive shaft or active disc sliding, so that the drive shaft can not drive the injection pump to work.
- Solution-
Once this phenomenon is found in the diesel generator set during operation, it should be stopped immediately for inspection to avoid major mechanical accidents and sent to professional maintenance points for a comprehensive inspection.
- Phenomenon-
When the diesel generator automatically turns off, the speed will slowly decrease, the operation will be unstable, and white smoke will come out of the exhaust pipe.
- Reason -
The main reason is that there is water inside the diesel, damage to the cylinder gasket or damage to automatic decompression, etc.
- Solution-
The cylinder gasket must be replaced and the decompression mechanism must be adjusted.
